Installing PC COM at Windows 2000
Installing the 8-PORT PCI PCCOM at Windows 2000 (V2.11)



1.
Run the Setup program. If you have the old driver installed on your computer remove it first before running the Setup program of the latest driver.

To see if you have the latest driver, Go to the control panel then open the "Decision PCCOM Adapters". At the "Device Details" frame you will see the "PCCOM Device Driver Configuration V2.11". If you do not have the latest driver Please request for the latest version.





3.
Shut down your PC and insert the PCCOM Card. Turn on your PC.



Please note that PCI cards will be auto detected when being installed into your computer. You have to configure ISA-based cards manually using the configuration utility applied.

Installing PCCOM PCI Card at Windows 2000

Installing PCCOM PCI Card will display the "Found New Hardware" dialog box and will run the "Found New Hardware Wizard" At Found New Hardware Wizard Next button.

At the What do you want the wizard to do, select "Display a list of the known driver"

At the Hardware Type, select Multi-port serial adapters then click the Next button

At the Manufacturers: select Decision Computer Int'l and at the Models: select the PCCOM 8 Port then click the Next button.





5.
At the Update Driver Warning click the "Yes" button.





6.
At the Start Device Driver Installation click the "Next" button.





7.
When the dialog "Digital Signature Not Found" click the "Yes" button





8.
At the "Completing the Found new Hardware Wizard" click the "Finish" button.




9.
To configure the card go to the control panel then open the "Decision PCCOM Adapters".




Further information, please run the Decision PCCOM Control Panel applet, check the manual or contact your local distributor.



A.) Note: PCCOM PCI 2 Port / 4 Port / 8 Port on Windows 2000

After the driver installation, you will notice that the port are not visible on the Device Manager, this is normal, and the card will still work


B. Conflicts

As you can see on �PCCOM 4 Port Properties?on the �Conflicting device list?box that there is a conflict. Don�t mind about the conflict, the card installed will still work. We are resolving this problem as soon as possible.
